You will work closely with Operations Managers and Inside Sales Reps to ensure deliveries are properly scheduled and executed to guarantee superior customer service. Without you, our customers cannot meet their operational needs, and that's why we seek a professional with integrity who respects and understand the demands of the job.**What you'll do:*** Oversee dispatch of drivers within the metro-area to maximize efficiency and customer delivery responsiveness* Monitor driver progress and adjust schedules as pick-up and delivery orders come in* Maximize truck loads outbound and inbound* Optimize use of overtime and outside haulers to deliver superior customer service* As needed, support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone, making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment location or delivery time* Demonstrate commitment to safety and discipline through exemplary personal compliance, accountability and pro-active communication* Perform all safety inspections within company and governmental policies* Other duties assigned as needed**Requirements:*** High School diploma or equivalent* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record* Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations* Diligent attention to safety* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment* Strong leadership, organization and communication skillsThis position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.We don't just \"talk the talk!\" We're an award-winning company (recently named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026) that truly cares about our people - That's why we offer best-in-class benefits and perks that will support you and your family.
