Our client, a reputable and expanding civil engineering and utilities contractor, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 10+ years’ industry experience to join their commercial team and play a key role in delivering major infrastructure works across Dublin.About the Company This contractor is recognised for its expertise in utilities, groundworks, roads, and infrastructure delivery for both public and private sector clients. With a robust pipeline of long-term projects and an emphasis on professional development, they offer an excellent environment for an experienced QS looking to take the next step in their career.The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring strong financial performance and contractual compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading cost management activities across civil and utilities projects
• Preparing detailed cost plans, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections
• Managing valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts
• Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor packages and procurement documentation
• Conducting site visits, monitoring progress, and advising project teams on commercial risks
• Ensuring adherence to contract conditions and industry regulations
• Providing commercial leadership and reporting directly to senior managementRequirements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or equivalent
• 10+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with significant exposure to civil engineering and utilities projects
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts, procurement, and cost-control practices
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
• Strong report-writing and stakeholder engagement capabilities
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to Dublin-based sitesWhat’s on Offer
